Implemented modifications to Personal Data Protection Act regulations

Following the adoption of the Personal Data Protection Act amendment, the Personal Data Protection Act Regulations 2021 are amended on 1 October 2021. The modifications introduce clarifications on mandatory data breach reporting, the mishandling of personal data and the contact information of businesses' Data Protection Officers. Simultaneously, the Personal Data Protection Commission modified its Advisory Guidelines on Key Concepts in the Personal Data Protection Act and Advisory Guidelines on the Personal Data Protection Act for Selected Topics.
