Announced KFST investigation into Norlys' Acquisition of Telia's Danish Business

On 18 December 2023, the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority (KFST) announced an investigation into the merger between Norlys and Telia DK. The merger, which is subject to notification in Denmark due to the turnover of the participating companies exceeding the thresholds defined in the Competition Act, requires a separate investigation. Norlys, which provides TV and broadband solutions in retail markets and broadband solutions in wholesale markets, is set to acquire sole control over Telia DK, a company involved in the wholesale of mobile telephony, retail of mobile telephony and mobile broadband, fixed broadband, and TV in Denmark. The deadline for processing the merger in Phase II is set for 30 April 2024.
