Poland: Opened consultation on Act implementing the Electronic Communications Law (wPKE)

On 26 February 2024, the Ministry of Digitalisation opened a consultation on the Act implementing the Electronic Communications Law (wPKE), transposing the European Electronic Communications Code (ECE), until 12 March 2024. The ECE regulates the electronic communications sector and will replace the existing Telecommunication Law. The implementation will be carried out through the adoption of the Law on Electronic Communications (PKE) and the PKE. The purpose of the consultation is to collect feedback on the proposed changes. These changes involve the repeal of the current Act and the introduction of the PKE Act, which will enter into force 6 months after its announcement.
