European Union: Announced EU-Canada Digital Partnership including interoperability requirements

On 24 November 2023, the European Union and Canada announced the launch of the EU-Canada Digital Partnership, including interoperability requirements. The partnership is a framework for voluntary cooperation and aims to promote interoperability through pilot projects and enhance the security of digital transactions across both regions. Further, the parties aim to support the development of interoperable digital identity and credentials systems.
