Brazil: Opened Consultation on the Standard on the Rights of Personal Data Holders

On 1 February 2024, the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) opened a public consultation on the Standard on the Rights of Personal Data Holders until 4 March 2024. The ANPD aims to encourage participation from both data holders and processing agents through subsidies, seeking their input in shaping the normative framework. Contributions are solicited on various aspects, including the format, timelines, and implementation of procedures governing the exercise of rights by data subjects, as well as the operational procedures adopted by data controllers.
