Finland: Opened Consultation on Elisa's Acquisition of Moontalk Ltd by Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority

On 22 January 2024, the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (KKV) opened a consultation on the acquisition of Moontalk Ltd by Elisa Corporation until 26 January 2024. The KKV seeks the opinions of customers, competitors, suppliers, industry associations, and organisations to assess the potential impact of the acquisition on competition in the internet and telecom services sector. According to competition law, business acquisitions exceeding certain turnover thresholds must be notified to the KKV and cannot proceed until approved by the KKV.
