China: Published Third CAC Domestic Deep Synthesis Service Algorithm Filing List

On 5 January 2024, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) published the third batch of its Domestic Deep Synthesis Service Algorithm Filing List. Notably, the CAC has, among others, authorised various algorithms used for generating dialogue, images and question-and-answer scenarios. The CAC highlights that deep synthesis service providers and technical supporters must adhere to the registration, amendment, and deletion procedures outlined in the Regulations on the Administration of Internet Information Service Algorithm Recommendations. The CAC announced the establishment of the Internet Information Service Algorithm Filing System, allowing providers to register, and it serves to store the algorithmic recommendation service and technology used. The published list of filing algorithms for domestic deep synthesis services includes algorithm names, roles, subject names, application products, main uses, record numbers, and explanatory remarks. The new batch lists a total of 129 newly filed algorithms.
