Adopted Administrative Arrangements with Dutch regulators implementing Commission Recommendation on Coordinating responses to dissemination of illegal content

On 19 December 2023, the European Commission announced that it had signed an administrative arrangement with the Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM). The arrangement follows the Recommendation by the European Commission to the EU member states to coordinate the response regarding the spread and amplification of illegal content on Very Large Online Platforms and Very Large Online Search Engines. The administrative arrangement aims to develop expertise and capabilities to properly identify and assess systemic risks as defined in the EU Digital Service Act (DSA) and organise cooperation and information exchange. ACM is expected to be appointed the Digital Services Coordinator for the Netherlands and will join the Board for Digital Services.
