European Union: Closed EU Commission investigation into proposed acquisition of Figma by Adobe

On 18 December 2023, the European Commission closed its investigation into Adobe's proposed acquisition of Figma. The investigation was closed as a consequence of Adobe's withdrawal of its declaration of intent to acquire Figma. In its investigation, the Commission issued a statement of objections, noting that the acquisition of Figma would potentially result in lessening competition in the interactive product design software market.
