Release of issues paper and opening of consultation by ACCC

On 10 March 2020, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) released an issue paper as part of the digital advertising services inquiry. The ACCC simultaneously opened a consultation period on the matter, which will run until 21 April 2020. The ACCC will investigate the intensity of competition in the market, as well as possible anti-competitive behaviour and the usage of data and information in the market. The ACCC is obliged to hand in an interim report by 31 December 2020 and complete its inquiry by 31 August 2021.
