Consultation closed on draft decree amending decree No. 72 including takedown requirement
On 05 September 2021 the Ministry of Information of Communications ('MIC') of Vietnam closed the consultation on the draft decree amending decree No. 72/2013/ND-CP on management, provision and use of internet services and online information. Among others, the new draft outlines a content takedown mechanism under the authority of the MIC. In the draft it is also foreseen that a broader scope of illegal content is subject to the takedown mechanisms than it was before.
