Consultation opened on draft decree amending decree 72 including takedown requirement
On 06 July 2021 the Ministry of Information of Communications ('MIC') of Vietnam opened the consultation on the draft decree amending decree No. 72/2013/ND-CP on management, provision and use of internet services and online information. Among others, the new draft outlines a content takedown mechanism under the authority of the MIC. In the draft it is also foreseen that a broader scope of illegal content is subject to the takedown mechanisms than it was before. The consultation will close on 05 September 2021.
