Japan: Announced US-Japan Partnership for Growth and Innovation including cybersecurity regulation

On 29 July 2022, the United States (US) and Japan convened the inaugural ministerial meeting of the Japan-US Economic Policy Consultative Committee (EPCC). The parties state that they intend to promote the exchange of information on cybersecurity threats in the US-Japan Cyber Dialogue, including discussions on threat assessment and mitigation efforts.
