Opened consultation on reporting requirements for issuers of asset-referenced tokens and e-money tokens denominated in a non-EU Currency under MICA

On 8 November 2023, the European Banking Authority (EBA) opened a consultation within the framework of the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MICA) until 8 February 2024. The consultation covers the draft Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) that outline the methodology to be employed by issuers of asset-referenced tokens (ARTs) and e-money tokens (EMTs) denominated in a non-EU currency for reporting transactions linked to the use of these tokens as a means of exchange. Additionally, the consultation covers the draft Implementing Technical Standards (ITS) that outline the reporting requirements under MiCA.
