Hungary: Closed GVH investigation into LG Electronics Magyar following compliance with commitments addressing unfair business practices

On 11 October 2023, the Competition Authority of Hungary (GVH) conducted a follow-up investigation to assess LG Electronics Magyar Kft (LG) compliance with its commitments addressing unfair business practices. The GVH determined that the ruling from its investigation initiated to address concerns about LG's Hungarian website accurately informing consumers about device features was effective. The GVH stated that LG complied with the voluntary commitments, which the GVH accepted in November 2020.
