Description

Introduced AI Labeling Act of 2023 (SB 2691)

On 27 July 2023, US Senators Schatz and Kennedy introduced the AI Labeling Act of 2023 (SB 2691) to the US Senate. The Bill would require generative artificial intelligence (AI) systems to include a clear and conspicuous disclosure that identifies the content as AI-generated content and that is permanent or unable to be easily removed by subsequent users. The Bill also outlines obligations for developers and third-party licensees to implement procedures to prevent downstream use of AI systems without the required disclosure.
