Announced Amazon lawsuit against European Commission regarding designation as Very Large Online Platform (Case T-367/23)

On 5 July 2023, Amazon filed a lawsuit against against the European Commission's (EC) decision to designate Amazon as a Very Large Online Platform (VLOP) from 25 April 2023. Amazon asked the Court to annul this decision, or alternatively annul it regarding the specific obligations, stating that the designation is "based on a discriminatory criterion and disproportionately violates the principle of equal treatment and (...) fundamental rights".
