Description

Issued ruling in Turkish Competition Authority investigation into Getir Retail Logistics Inc. over their MFC practices

On 15 September 2022, the Turkish Competition Authority, Rekabet Kurumu, published the decision in its investigation into Getir Retail Logistics Inc. (Case 22-42/606-254). The investigation concerned Getir's use of most-favoured-customer (MFC) practices on its online food ordering and delivery platform. After conducting a preliminary investigation, the Authority determined that Getir does not hold a dominant position in the relevant market. Consequently, the Authority considered that Getir's MFC practices could potentially qualify for block exemption under the Vertical Agreements Communiqué, as long as they comply with the 30% market share threshold. As a result, the Authority will not initiate a full investigation.
