Russia: Implemented Ministry of Digital Development, Telecommunications and Mass Media list of domestic applications for pre-installation

On 1 January 2023, the Ministry of Digital Development, Telecommunications and Mass Media's an order listing the domestic applications to be pre-installed on technological products according to Federal Law No 425-FZ, is implemented. In particular, on smartphones and tablets, the applications Yandex.Browser, Yandex.Maps, 2GIS, Yandex.Disk, Mail.ru Mail, ICQ, voice assistant Marusya, Mail.ru News, OK Life, VKontakte social networks, Odnoklassniki, Mir Pay payment system, Public Services, MyOffice Documents, Kaspersky Lab antivirus, LitRes book service, have to be installed. The manufacturers of TV sets have to pre-install Yandex, Rutube, VK Video, online cinemas Ivi, Premier, KinoPoisk, Wink, Okko, More TV, Start, Channel One application, NTV , Smotrim (VGTRK).
