Russia: Adopted Amendment to Code of Administrative Offenses expanding liability for descriting content on Russian state bodies operating abroad (Federal Law No. 62-FZ)

On 23 March 2022, the Federal Council adopted Bill No. 9732-8, amending Articles 8.32 and 20.3-3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. The Bill expands the applicability of administrative measures against actions or information that discredit the work or activities of Russian state bodies operating abroad, such as embassies, the National Guard, the prosecutor's office and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
