Turkiye: Announced Rekabet Kurumu Investigation Alphabet Inc., Google LLC, Google International LLC, Google Ireland Limited and Google Advertising and Marketing Ltd.

On 18 May 2023, the Turkish Competition Authority, Rekabet Kurumu, opened an investigation into Alphabet Inc., Google LLC, Google International LLC, Google Ireland Limited, and Google Advertising and Marketing Ltd. Sti. for allegedly violating Article 6 of Law No. 4054 in relation to online advertising and advertising technology. The law in questions prohibits abuses of dominant market positions. The Authority, based on findings from preliminary research discussed on 18.05.2023, deemed the evidence sufficient to warrant opening an investigation.
