Adopted 2010 Revision to the Law on Guarding State Secrets
On 29 April 2010, the President of China adopted the Law on Guarding State Secrets (2010 Revision), which will come into effect on 1 October 2010. Article 48 prohibits sending state secret carriers, i.e. media containing state secrets, abroad without prior approval by the relevant authorities.
