Introduced Films and Publications Amendment Bill (B37-2015) including registration requirements

On 22 November 2015, the Films and Publications Amendment Bill (B37-2015) was introduced to the National Assembly. The Bill expands the scope of the Films and Publications Act to regulate online content. In particular, it regulates “commercial online distributors” and “Internet Service Providers” and requires them to register with the Film and Publication Board. The Bill requires online distributors to submit to the Film and Publication Board all content for classification.
