China: Issued ruling in Cyberspace Administration investigation into Micron compliance with security requirements

On 21 May 2023, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) issued its ruling in the investigation into Micron Technology, a semiconductor manufacturing company, compliance with security requirements. The CAC investigated the security of infrastructure supply chains, the potential impact on national security and whether there are any hidden product risks. The CAC found that Micron's network security does not meet the required standards and could negatively impact the country's national security. The CAC stated that critical information infrastructure operators should cease purchasing Micron products.
