Republic of Korea: Issued Joint Statement on first Korea-Singapore Digital Economy Dialogue

On 19 May 2023, the governments of Korea and Singapore issued a joint statement on the first Korea-Singapore Digital Economy Dialogue. The Digital Economy Dialogue is intended to be a platform to promote digital economy cooperation between key industry actors and academic experts from Singapore and Korea. During the first Digital Economy Dialogue discussions between the public and private sectors were held in the area of digital trade technologies and services. In particular, stakeholders from both sides engaged on issues related to the digital economy and explored mutually beneficial business opportunities in Singapore, Korea, and the region. The parties expressed their intention to hold the next Digital Economy Dialogue in the near future.
