On 8 October 2021, Law 2020-936 aimed at protecting victims of domestic violence including Content moderation authority governance, was implemented following the adoption of Decree No. 2021-1306 on 7 October 2021 enforcing Section 23. The Decree outlines the conditions and procedures for Superior Audiovisual Council in requesting platforms to implement service access restrictions. The Law 2020-936 gives the Superior Audiovisual Council the power to issue notices requiring online public communication services, including online platforms, to implement measures to restrict minors' access to pornographic content within 15 days of the receipt of the notice. In case of non-compliance, the Superior Audiovisual Council can ask the Court of Paris for an order restricting access to the platform.
