France: Adopted Bill aimed at protecting victims of domestic violence including content moderation authority governance

On 21 July 2020, the Bill aimed at protecting victims of domestic violence including content moderation authority governance, was adopted by the Senate of France. The Bill would give the Superior Audiovisual Council the power to issue notices requiring online public communication services, including online platforms, to implement measures to restrict minors' access to pornographic content within 15 days of the receipt of the notice. In case of non-compliance, the Superior Audiovisual Council will be able to ask the Court of Paris for an order restricting access to the platform.
