European Union: Announced Inquiry on the use of Pegasus and other surveillance spyware

On 19 April 2022, the European Parliament's Inquiry Committee launched an investigation into the use of surveillance spyware across the EU. Specifically, the inquiry investigates whether the use of the software Pegasus and other equivalent spyware breached EU law and fundamental rights.
