On 3 May 2023, the Bill No. 2338 of 2023 regulating the use of Artificial Intelligence, including consumer protection regulation, was introduced in the Senate of Brazil. In particular, the Bill would establish for consumers to be informed if they interact with an Artificial Intelligence (AI) system, to receive information about the decision process and to request human oversight of AI system decisions. Furthermore, the Bill would enable individuals to contest and request the review of AI systems' decisions, recommendations or predictions if the system has significantly impacted their interests.
