On 31 May 2023, the European Commission closed its consultation on the adoption of a Delegated Regulation on data access under the Digital Services Act (DSA). In particular, Article 40 of the DSA requires the Commission to adopt delegated acts laying down the technical conditions under which very large online platforms are to share data and the purposes for which the data may be used. In this context, the Commission is conducting a consultation to further specify the conditions under which data sharing should take place, the purposes for which the data may be used, and relevant procedures, taking into account the rights and interests of the actors involved.
