Closed investigation after Meta's proposed commitments are accepted

On 16 June 2022, the French Competition Authority (Autorité de la Concurrence) closed its investigation into Meta for its anti-competitive conduct in the online advertising market. For a duration of 5 years, Meta, among other things, will grant access to advertising inventory and campaign data to so-called advertising technology companies. The obligation applies to ad inventories on all Meta platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
