On 3 June 2021, the French Competition Authority (Autorité de la Concurrence) opened a consultation, until 5 June 2022, on the proposed commitments by Facebook designed to resolve the ongoing investigation regarding alleged anti-competitive conduct in the online advertising sector. Among other things, Facebook commits to running AdTech on its Facebook Market Place in an objective way without discriminating against others. Following Criteo's complaint in September 2019, the Autorité de la Concurrence launched an investigation in which it was found that Facebook's practices may affect the conditions of access to online advertising in a non-transparent or objective manner.
