On 20 March 2023, the United Kingdom and Ukraine signed a Digital Trade Agreement (DTA) aiming to support Ukraine's economy and enhance trade in digital goods and services between both countries. In particular, the DTA specifies that the countries must maintain data protection regulations in line with principles such as transparency, accountability, data quality, data minimisation and purpose specification.
