Turkiye: Announced investigation against Google for abuse of dominance in general search and shopping comparison market

On 18 July 2018, the Turkish Competition Authority initiated its investigation into Google for allegedly abusing its dominance in the general search and shopping comparison market. Allegedly, Google disadvantaged competitors. Specifically, Google allegedly moved internet traffic away from competitors offering shopping comparison services to their own shopping comparison service. Further, Google allegedly increased traffic from its own general search results page to its shopping comparison service.
