Adopted Australian Privacy Principles Guidelines containing data protection regulation provisions

On February 2014, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) Guidelines. The Guidelines specify how to interpret the Australian Privacy Principles, which regulate any APP entity (public body or organisation falling under the scope of the Privacy Act as amended in 2012). Particularly, the Guidelines explain how to interpret the following principles concerning data protection: APP 1 on Open and Transparent Management of Personal Information, APP 2 on Data Anonymity and Pseudonymity, APP 3 and APP 5 on Collection of Solicited Personal Information, APP 4 on Unsolicited Personal Information, APP 6 on Disclosure of Personal Information, APP 10 on Quality of Personal Information, APP 11 on Security of Personal Information, APP 12 on Access to Personal Information, and APP 13 on Correction of Personal Information.
