Specifically, questions around accountability, transparency, lawfulness, accuracy, and fairness were updated further to support the industry's lawful use of AI technologies. For instance, the guideline clarifies the difference between bias, discrimination, fairness, and algorithmic fairness. The guideline also presents ways to reduce bias and what trade-off considerations must be made when designing the algorithm. Finally, the ICO stated that the guideline will be continuously updated to include the changed regulatory standards.
