Canada: Adopted Quebec ban of TikTok on government-issued mobile devices

On 27 February 2023, the Quebec Minister of Cybersecurity and Digital adopted an order banning the installation and use of TikTok on government-issued mobile devices. The government declared the ban to be preventive, emphasising that there is no evidence of foreign spying through the app, and stated that the ban is aligned with the federal government's approach. The ban will be implemented as of 28 February 2023.
