Established Headquarters for Digital Market Competition

On 27 September 2019, the Headquarters for Digital Market Competition (DMCH) was established. The inter-ministry organisation was created in an effort to promote competition and innovation and aims to establish policies in the digital domain. It comprises the Digital Market Competition Council and the Digital Market Competition Working Group which together research the most significant issues in the digital sphere. Based on an assessment of the competition in digital markets, the DMCH establishes competition policies and can strengthen privacy rules. The DMCH can cooperate with foreign governments.
