Issued TSA Cybersecurity Rules for Airports and Aircraft Operators

On 7 March 2023, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) issued a new cybersecurity amendment on an emergency basis to the security programs of some TSA-regulated airport and aircraft operators as part of the US Department of Homeland Security’s campaign to improve the cybersecurity of US critical infrastructure. The new emergency amendment requires affected entities to develop approved cybersecurity implementation plans and improve existing measures by, for example, developing network segmentation policies and strengthening access control and monitoring measures.
