United States of America: Adopted Commercial National Security Algorithm Suite 2.0

On 1 September 2022, the US National Security Agency (NSA) adopted the Commercial National Security Algorithm Suite 2.0 (CNSA Suite 2.0), a recommendation for owners and operators of National Security Systems (NSS) and suppliers of NSS's future QR algorithm requirements. CNSA Suite 2.0 applies to all NSS uses of common cryptographic algorithms. According to the announcement, software and hardware providing encryption algorithms must not only meet CNSA requirements but must also be verified by the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) or NSA.
