Russia: Introduced Amendments to the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Offenses (Bill No. 160278-8)

On 7 July 2022, the Amendments to the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Offenses (Bill No. 160278-8) were introduced in the State Duma of the Russian Federation. The Bill clarifies the administrative liability for anti-competitive agreements in digital commodity markets. Specifically, the use of price algorithms is seen as an aggravating circumstance when determining the liability of involved entities. If turned into law, the Bill would enter into force on 1 March 2023.
