Adopted Directive on Tiktok Ban on State-Issued Devices and State Networks

On 11 January 2023, the Mississippi Governor announced a directive ordering all public institutions in Mississippi to ban the installation and use of the mobile app Tiktok on state-issued devices as well as using devices that have installed Tiktok on state networks. According to the Directive, the aim is to reduce the risk of the Communist Party of China gaining access and information on the US and its infrastructure. Employees have until 31 January 2023 to remove the app and related software.
