Opened consultations on the 2023-2030 Australian Cyber Security Strategy Discussion Paper

On 26 February 2023, Australian Minister for Home Affairs Clare O'Neil launched the 2023 - 2030 Australian Cybersecurity Strategy Discussion Paper at a Cyber Security Roundtable discussion in Sydney, and welcomed public feedback on the topics raised in the paper until 15 April 2023. The paper discusses existing legislation and previous cybersecurity strategies. It highlights core policy areas to be included in the 2023 - 2030 Strategy, including enhancing regulatory frameworks, international cooperation, improving the security of government systems, using private-public mechanisms, building skills in the workforce, and clarifying a response framework for major cybersecurity breaches, among others.
