Consultation opened on draft Guidelines for Safety Management of Medical Information Systems (Version 6.0) including cybersecurity measures
On 16 February 2023, the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) opened a consultation on the draft “Guidelines for Safety Management of Medical Information Systems Version 6.0” until 7 March 2023. The Guidelines outline recommendations for the implementation of cybersecurity measures to ensure the safety of medical information, including the adoption and management of backups, authentication and authority management.
