The Pennsylvania Consumer Data Privacy Bill (HB 1126) is introduced to the House on 7 April 2021, where it was referred to the Committee on Consumer Affairs on the same day. After it is reported back to the House. The Act applies to larger businesses meeting certain thresholds and further provides an accurate definition of protected personal information. Finally, the Act also imposes certain obligations on businesses and sets rights for consumers, all while enforcing the rights and obligations through civil penalties.
