Announced European Blockchain Regulatory Sandbox for innovative use cases involving Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT)

On 14 February 2023, the European Commission announced the launch of the European Blockchain Regulatory Sandbox for innovative use cases involving Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT), also known as blockchain. The project is designed to support innovative use cases involving blockchain technology and to promote the development and innovation of blockchain technology within the European Union by creating the space for a dialogue regulators and innovators. The initiative will operate for three years, with three annual cohorts of 20 use cases each.
