France: Published CNIL Report on economic implication of Implementation of Regulation on European data governance

On 9 February 2023, the French Data Protection Agency (CNIL) published a report on the economic implication of the Implementation of Regulation on European data governance, which enters into force on 24 September 2023. Among other economic issues, the CNIL report highlights the development of a data intermediation market under the European data governance based on third parties who are not directly processing the data and elaborates on how the "rule of economic neutrality" will apply to such data intermediaries.
