Implemented Personal Data Protection Resolution

On 7 February 2023, the Prime Minister of Vietnam signed "Resolution No. 13/NQ-CP of the Government: Approving the Dossier to develop the Personal Data Protection Decree" which entered into force on the day of its signing. The Resolution approves the draft content of the Personal Data Protection Decree. Notably, the Decree lists the cases where personal data may be processed without the data subject's consent, such as for the protection of the life and health of the data subject in an emergency, fulfilment of contractual obligations of the data subject, and prevention of riots and terrorism.
