Issued US-EU Joint Statement on Cooperation on Cyber Resilience

On 26 January 2023, the US Secretary of Homeland Security and the EU Commissioner for Internal Market released a joint statement on the cooperation between the United States and the European Union in the field of Cyber Resilience. In this context, the parties established the following work objectives: (i) deepening information exchange regarding threats and incidents; (ii) finalizing a working arrangement regarding cooperation between the EU Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) and the US Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA); (iii) collaborating on cyber incident reporting requirements for critical infrastructure; (iv) collaborating on cybersecurity for hardware and software; and (v) exploring options to protect civilian space systems.
