Introduced Act to establish Bitcoin as a legal tender (SB 1235 )

On 26 January 2023, the Act to establish Bitcoin as a legal tender (SB 1235 ) was introduced in the Arizona Senate by Senator Wendy Rogers. The Bill aims to establish the digital currency Bitcoin as legal tender in the State. Under the Bill, Bitcoin will have the same status as the US dollar, becoming an accepted medium of exchange for debt payment, public charges, taxes and dues in the State.
